This page is to be used if our school has to unfortunately close for a week.
This week we are going to read the Canadian book 'My Day with Gong Gong' by Sennah Yee and illustrated by Elaine Chen.
Do you speak another language? Which language or languages do you speak? Do you have any elderly family members or friends? Do you have a special name that you call them? In this story May spends the day with her Gong Gong (Grandfather). The day doesn't start out very fun in her opinion. She doesn't speak Cantonese and her Gong Gong doesn't speak any English. But things change and Gong Gong has a surprise for her. Listen to the author Sennah Yee read her book below.
